Divorce both contested and uncontested can prove to be overwhelming. A divorce is uncontested when both spouses reach an agreement with respect to all financial and divorce-related issues (e.g. grounds for divorce, child custody and support, visitation, distribution of marital assets, allocation of marital debt, and spousal support/alimony). Both spouses must agree to the divorce for it to be considered uncontested. If you believe that your divorce will be contested because your spouse will not consent to a resolution of all divorce-related issues, or you are unsure, please feel free to contact the Blackwell Law Firm for a free consultation.
